Forged Steel Work Roll
A forged steel work roll is the roll that directly contacts and deforms the strip or section in a rolling mill. Forged from Cr3–Cr5 class tool steels, quench-and-tempered, and finish ground to micron tolerances, work rolls are supplied for hot and cold strip mills alongside backup rolls and support rolls, with hardness, ultrasonic and dimensional certification.
HS 8455.30 · Read specification →Mandrel Bar
A mandrel bar is a long, hardened alloy steel bar inserted inside a hollow shell during seamless pipe rolling. The pipe wall is rolled between the external rolls and the mandrel surface, so bar straightness, surface finish and thermal fatigue resistance directly determine pipe ID quality. Bars are forged, heat treated, deep-hole machined where required, and chrome plated.

Rolling mill spare parts are the machined components that keep a mill stand running: bearing chocks, gear shafts, sizing, reducing and straightening rolls, spindles, couplings and guides. Supplied to customer drawings from forged or cast blanks with heat treatment, precision machining and NDT, they are classified under HS 8455.90 as parts of metal-rolling mills.
